This was created on a 12-day turnaround (for the rough cut) on an extremely tight budget. For the Bullis Lower School video, we emphasized the applied-learning methods, the relaxed and nurturing atmosphere, and the respect that is cultivated between students.
For the Bullis Middle School video, we emphasized the overall balance of academics, arts, and athletics as well as the ease with which students can be themselves and make friends.
For the Bullis Upper School video, the goal was to show the breadth and depth of opportunities students can explore as well as the overall balance that a Bullis education offers.
In 2008, I created this video for Kokayi, a local rap artist out of Southeast DC. The video is a hodgepodge of the different cultures and landmarks of Washington, DC; including Chinatown, Eastern Market, Anacostia, H Street, Adams Morgan, Capitol Hill, Georgetown, Union Station, and others. I was still a college student at the time, and this was shot and edited using borrowed equipment from George Mason University’s media lab.
